About Mark:
I’m Mark van Straaten — husband, grandfather, surfer, and follower of Jesus. After 45+ years in pastoral leadership and co-founding churches and nonprofits, I now live in Jeffreys Bay where I teach, write, and reflect on what it means to live faithfully and purposefully in the second half of life.
Through Life Between Sundays, my nonprofit The Generative Way, and my writing, I hope to encourage others to find their voice, deepen their faith, and live with meaning. You’ll find me riding waves, mentoring over coffee, or working on my next book.
